NIGHT PRACTITIONER / NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER – CHILDREN’S SERVICES – £12.25 to £13.25 (DOE)

About the position:

As a Night Practitioner, you will be key in helping young people with complex needs. This is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results. Your ambition for the young people you support will help them take steps to fulfilling their potential.


What will you be doing:

  • Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
  • Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events.
  • Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, cleaning etc.)
  • Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
  • Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
  • Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
  • Ensuring that the needs of the young person are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.


About You


What experience and qualifications do you need:

  • A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
  • A strong team player
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • A Diploma Level 3 in Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this qualification within a fixed timeframe.

As a Night Support Worker, you will be key in supporting young adults with complex needs. We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious individual who can offer complete commitment to supporting our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a challenging role with huge rewards.

What will you be doing:

  • Working with the staff team across all levels to safeguard our young adults at all times.
  • Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
  • Assisting with practical tasks relating to care. For example, cooking and cleaning.
  • Creating positive relationships with the young adults, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
  • Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young adults.
  • Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
  • Ensuring that the needs of the young adults are being met and regularly reviewing and recording any changes to their needs.
  • Actively contributing to the development of the team.


About You

About the Role.

As a Night Support Worker/ Night Life Practitioner you’ll be an integral part of the team, teaching young people life skills in context and support them to integrate these skills. We’ll give you all the training you’ll need. You’ll contribute to and promote the development of young peoples’ communication, self-help, and independence skills – undertaking actions devised by other specialist colleagues, such as speech therapists and educational psychologists and providing feedback on sessions. Plus, support individuals with maintaining and improving their health and supporting emotional needs, always promoting increased independence. Support Workers participate in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational activities such as trips to the Safari Park, fun fairs or local restaurants.

About You.

If you have a background in care work, great, we’ll work with you to develop you to where you want to get to, however, you don’t need a background in care to become a Support Worker, just a caring approach and passion for helping others.


About Kisimul Group


We have fixed rota patterns, as well as flexibility to suit your home life.

Nights – 38.5hrs per week. 7.30pm and finishing at 7.30am (1 hour break).

The rota pattern is typically a 2-week rota. Week 1 works Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat and Sun. Week 2 works, Wed and Thu.

Pay transparency:

The Support Worker salary starts at £12.25 ph and can increase to £13.25 ph depending on your experience and development.

We also offer enhanced hourly rates on additional hours, for those who choose to work overtime.
