Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and eager to develop their skills in early childhood education. As an Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment while contributing to the growth and development of young learners. The candidate must be willing to complete level 3 early years educator qualification) This position would suit a level 2 qualified person who was looking to progressing in their childcare career. The ideal candidate must hold English and Maths Gcse or Equivalent

Duties

  • Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a nursery setting.
  • Support lead educators in implementing educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive environment.

Participate in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that stimulate children’s creativity and curiosity.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Observe and report on children’s progress, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A genuine interest in early childhood education and childcare.
  • Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
  • A proactive drive to learn and develop professionally within the field of childcare.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

Person Specification:

· Recent and relevant experience in an early year setting (desirable but not essential )

· Experience of working with children aged 0-12 years (desirable but not essential )

· Experience of working with babies (desirable but not essential )

· Knowledge of Record Keeping, Key Person Systems, summary assessments, Observations and Planning for new experiences and for individual children (desirable but not essential )

· Knowledge of the EYFS, COEL and Ofsted’s legal requirements(desirable but not essential )

· Safeguarding

All apprenticeships are completed with our External training provider at the setting.

Position will be subject to satisfactory references.

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure.

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
