OOH Registered Veterinary Nurse Required – Minster Veterinary Practice – York

We are a large, friendly and approachable team with a multi-discipline capable, first opinion, 24-hour small animal hospital. We are looking for a talented registered veterinary nurse to join our dedicated out of hours team. We provide emergency care and hospitalisation for our patients as well as those from other practices across York and beyond. We see a really varied caseload and would be keen to help you develop further and enjoy a fulfilling career as part of a great team. We are looking for a nurse who can work well as an individual, as well as in a team.

The working hours would be a rolling rota of 4 on and 8 off. The shifts are from 7pm – 8.30am with an average of 31.59 hrs per week. You will work alongside a veterinary surgeon, animal nursing assistants and twilight RVN’s providing care to the in-patients as well as assisting with emergency consultations and procedures.

About You

Your qualifications are certainly essential to success in this role and it is expected that you will demonstrate talent and skill as a Veterinary Nurse. A qualification in Emergency and Critical Care would be an advantage, however if you do not currently have this we can support you to attain this. In addition, these qualities are important to us:
