Out of School Playworker

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate with knowledge and enthusiasm. Someone who is passionate, has good judgement and communication skills and a sense of humour.

To work as part of a team to provide care and support at a good level at My Little Barn Owls in Roberttown.

Working 27.5 hours a week, between 7:00am till 9am then 2:30pm till 6pm Monday to Friday. Extra hours in holiday club working 3 to 4 full days.

Experience is desirable.

Driving Licence is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities are:

*Follow all the policies and procedures of Afterschool(UK).

*Act as a key person for designated children.

*Maintain appropriate developmental records and undertake assessments.

*Ensure that health and safety of the environment is maintained at all times

*Plan and carry out activities to support children’s learning for next steps if required.

* Provide and set up different play activities

*Follow all safeguarding procedures for the children at all times.

*Undertake relevant training.

*Liaise with schools, parents and other outside agencies professionally maintaining good relationships.

*Administer first aid to the children.

*Be willing to work in our other clubs.
