Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning and maintenance tasks

Experience

  • Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation
  • Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
