Overview:

Dunbia are one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Packaging Buyer is responsible for managing stocks, preparing and placing orders for materials.

Responsibilities:

The Packaging Buyer is responsible for maintaining the seamless flow of materials to support the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional products while maintaining cost effectiveness and sustainability.

Specific Daily / Weekly Duties

  • Co-ordinating daily / weekly stock levels through daily compilation of buying sheets.
  • Maintaining weekly packaging forecast and liaising with suppliers.
  • Preparing daily purchase orders on movex and updating on receipt of delivery notes
  • Approving invoices
  • Tracking orders to ensure that the deliveries that have been received are correct and liaising with suppliers on any issues. Raising disputes where necessary.
  • Liaising with external warehouse / transport companies
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Raising disputes where necessary.
  • Liaising with the Production, Purchasing, NPD, Finance, Technical and Operations teams to ensure a smooth running of the business.

Key Skills

  • Highly organised
  • Analytical
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word

Preferable Skills
  • Background and previous work experience in Buying is essential.
