We are working with a well established vehicle Bodyshop is actively seeking to employ a fully skilled, experienced Paint Sprayer.

Based in a purpose built facility in the Accrington area, the Paint Sprayer will be required to undertake all aspects of the re-finishing process, duties to include masking of panels, application of paints and de-masking the vehicle.

The successful Paint Sprayer must have a strong back ground in vehicle re-finishing and be familiar with solvent and water based paints, be able to use HVLP guns.

MGF are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Steel Spray Painter to join our busy depot reporting to the Depot Foreman, your duties will involve spraying of equipment and will vary on a daily basis depending on the Company requirements.


Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Spray painting of new/returned equipment as required
  • Maintaining Spray Bay and Equipment
  • Sorting sheet piles
  • Racking and stacking equipment
  • Operating the FLT’s and Overhead Cranes (Training Provided)


The core requirements for this role are:

  • Experience of steel paint spraying
  • Experience within a busy yard environment
  • Good appreciation of Health & Safety
  • FLT experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Completing prepping work for spray painters allocated in relation to job card
  • Ensuring all tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines, wearing any PPE provided and ensuring that work areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Filling and priming, ensuring each vehicle is ready for it’s allocated bodyshop repair.
  • Working closely with the team to ensure the vehicle is repaired in a timely manner.
  • Providing timely information and updates to team members and colleagues.
  • Prioritising any reworks.

Your Background & Skill:

  • Experience in prepping within a bodyshop environment and working on motor vehicles.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to ensure you achieve targets.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

PAINT SPRAYER – Market Weighton – Salary £13 to £15

Montracon is one of the leading trailer manufacturers serving the UK, Ireland and export markets and offers a high-quality, diverse product portfolio. We are now looking for a Paint Sprayer to work at our Market Weighton site.

The main purpose of the job:

To spray trailers in accordance with the Company’s standards. The task demands a right first time manner to maintain the Company’s high quality standards within a fast moving production environment. The role will involve the use of air assisted and pressure fed paint spraying systems.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

· Personally make health and safety a priority ensuring you comply with all health and safety instructions.

· Work in accordance with Company operating procedures and guidelines.

· Read and assess production information for required specification details, working in an organised manner to ensure the task is completed efficiently, to the correct standard and within the necessary time frame.

Painting of Chassis and Panels

· Conduct basic quality control checks.

· Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.

· Prepare, including masking, and apply paint to a range of trailers to a high standard.

· Apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.

· Coats areas inaccessible to hand spray using brush.

· Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer.

· Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to airhose, using wrenches.

· Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique.

· Direct spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.

· Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush.

· Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.

· May heat and spray wax onto products after they are tested.

· May use acid, wire brush or steel wool to remove rust from metal.

· May paint designs on rug surfaces for decorative purposes or for use as guidelines in carving rugs, using spray gun and stencil.

· Continually identify and suggest improvements to process, quality, waste management, visual management etc.

Skills / Ability / Experience

· Use tools and equipment used in paint spraying.

· General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of paint spraying.

· Skill in the use and care of hand and power tools and equipment necessary to spray.

· Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time as required by work assignments.

· Good interpersonal skills

· Good manual dexterity requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as hand tools.

Preferred experience

Experience in the spraying of commercial vehicles is desirable but not essential

WORKING HOURS:

40 hours
