Part time Deputy Nursery Manager
Job Description
Come and work for an outstanding nursery in Northenden Manchester.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Deputy manager of the nursery, supporting the Nursery Manager and Head of service to provide excellent care and education to all our lovely children and families.
The days are wed half day and Thursday Friday or possibly just a Thursday and a Friday, this will be discussed at interview.
A purpose built nursery in stunning large gardens leading from each room, including a huge bike track, with a peaceful countryside setting feel, set back, with conservation trees.
An exciting opportunity for an experienced level 3 childcare qualified or degree level Deputy Manager, to support our amazing driven Nursery manager and head of Service and our friendly dynamic team in the shared vision to provide a quality learning environment to promote the teaching and learning to a high quality to ensure best outcomes for each child.

Children and families are at the heart of all we do and we have a fabulous nursery set within stunning gardens and our own bike track.
Outdoor is a feature of our nursery and we have huge gardens leading from each room, this makes the gardens accessible all year round for each child to enjoy.
Kids Start is an Ofsted outstanding private day nursery in the heart of Northenden. We are looking for an enthusiastic, exciting and passionate Senior Practitioner to join our wonderful team.
Kids Start provides high-quality care and early education to children aged 6 months to 5 years. Kids Start is proud to be a partner in the Department for Education, Northwest Stronger Practice Hub, which aims to reduce the impact of COVID on children and their families. We pride ourselves in our strong ethos and drive to ensure that all children access quality care and education. We work alongside Manchester city council and have achieved Gold award.
The nursery is not a chain and is owned and directed by two directors who previously worked for Manchester City council who have many skills and experience.
We have three training days per year where the nursery is closed to ensure we are all up to date with legal requirements.
We don’t wear uniforms as like the children we are unique…

For this job we are looking for:
Qualifications
Possession of relevant qualification involving skills in Child Development to level 3 or above.
Experience
4 years Practical experience of working with children and parents /carers
Practical experience of supervising others.
A driven positive inspiring individual who want to support our nursery to above and beyond quality Early years.
Able to deputise in the managers absence.
Skills with promoting outdoor purposeful play including forest school.
Wanting to make a difference to children and families.
Practical knowledge of child development.
Skills / Knowledge
Excellent IT skills and use of software data.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures including EYFS.
Superb Skills in observation and assessment
Ability to plan and organise the curriculum and meet the individual and group needs of children.
Ability to motivate self and others
Skills in supervising others and implementing staff development programmes
Skills in organising resources
Ability to maintain basic budget
Skills in time management
Ability to write accurate and concise reports
Ability to encourage and use and involvement of the community in the centre
Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
Ability to liaise with other agencies
Ability to work as a member of the team
