Position: Parts Manager
Location: Burgess Hill

Our client, a Dealership with Multiple sites is actively seeking to employ a Parts Manager to oversee the parts operations at a depot based near Burgess Hill.

About your new Parts Manager role:

  • Be responsible for leading & growing the Parts team through coaching and development.
  • Providing support to the Service & Sales Teams
  • Key Contact for Suppliers and Customers
  • Achieve and exceed the parts targets monthly and annually.
  • Ensure accurate resources are available to develop the parts department.
  • Continually identify new areas of growth within the parts department.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Excellent experience and knowledge of Plant, HGV or Agricultural and Horticultural maintenance equipment.
  • Great accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiar with Agricultural, Farming, Garden Machinery or Plant Construction
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends throughout seasonal or busy periods.

Hours: full time 45 hours per week, with weekends on a rota basis.

The role

As a Parts Manager, you will join a team of experts supporting one of our popular brands in our state-of-the-art facilities. You will be reporting into the Aftersales Manager and oversee the day to day running of the parts department. Full manufacturer training is provided so there is no need to have specific brand experience.

  • Manage parts stock levels and keep debtors to a minimum
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all department administration and operational data
  • Develop a marketing and publicity strategy to promote all products and services
  • Brief the team regarding department objectives and give regular feedback on achievements
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers external representatives

The role

We are seeking a Parts Manager to join our Land Rover in Bedford.

You will be reporting into the Aftersales Manager and oversee the day-to-day running of the Parts department. To be successful in this role you will have previous Parts Management experience.

What will I do on a daily basis?

  • Provide leadership and direction to the parts department
  • Ensure the dealership achieves optimum market penetration by maximising sales of parts to trade and retail outlets
  • Manage parts stock levels and keep debtors to a minimum
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all department administration and operational data
  • Develop a marketing and publicity strategy to promote all products and services effectively
  • Brief the team regarding department objectives and give regular feedback on achievements
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with supplier’s external representatives
  • Ensure the systematic recruitment, induction, and performance management of all department employees and aim to stabilise staff turnover by leading a motivated, productive and rewarded team
  • Achieve the highest level of customer care and satisfaction at all times

What experience do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced parts professional with leadership experience, ideally from the franchised dealership sector. In addition to you experience, you will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • A professional and calm approach with strong stakeholder management skills
