Modus Accountants are looking for a Payroll Manager to join the team at their offices at Frilford Heath Golf Club, Abingdon and Witney.

It is essential that the right candidate has plenty of experience running payrolls for multiple clients within accountancy firm. Being the first point of call for clients with payroll queries, you must be confident and enjoy interacting with clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised, committed person, with experience in managing a large portfolio of payrolls.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the payroll department
• Ensure the monthly payroll is run efficiently
• Answer and direct phone calls and liaise with clients
• Assist with filings to Companies House including company secretarial services
• Assist with client/HMRC registrations
• Assist with credit control

QUALIFICATIONS

• Full UK driving license.
• Payroll Experience 3+ year – preferably within an accountancy firm

SKILLS

• Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• You must be a team player with a positive – ‘can do’ approach
• Methodical and able to manage time and meet deadlines
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience with Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential
• Proactive nature and ability to work in a small team environment
• Ability to learn new skills and solve own problems

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year, depending on experience

• Abingdon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Payroll experience 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
