We are currently recruiting for 2 Personal Assistants/ Support workers to support a 7 year-old boy from Egremont.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, caring and responsible to work with the young boy in his own home and is available for an immediate start.

Experience is preferred in suctioning, peg feeding, and oxygen monitoring. However, full training will be provided. Experience working with children is also preferred.

Drivers license not essential but is desirable.

There is a permanent position available for up to 48 hours per week, working both 12 hour days and 12 hour nights at the rate of £13.86

There is also a zero hour position available with the minimum of 1x12hr shift per week, either day or night to suit the needs of the family at the rate of £13.86. This position will be to cover any annual leave or sickness of other colleagues.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for two Personal Assistant’s/Support worker’s to support a 6-year-old girl on a 2:1 basis with Autism and Challenging Behaviour.

The young girl is very bubbly and very energetic and always on the go. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has the same energy and would be able to keep up with this.

The ideal candidate for the role will have experience working with children with Autism, have patience and the ability to build a relationship and trust with the girl, provide emotional support and promote her independence/motivation.

The role will involve supporting the girl out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):

  • Soft play
  • Play parks
  • Swimming

Hours are flexible to suit the needs of the individual. There are 4 hours per week available per PA during term time and 6 hours per week per PA during school holidays, however there may be some weeks where support is not required and the additional hours can be used in another week. Further details of shifts required can be discussed at the next stage of the application.

Having a driving license is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate must be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the Employer). Applicants who have a current DBS on the update service would be an advantage.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Personal Assistant/ Support worker to support a 9 year-old girl from Brampton, who has a diagnosis of Autism and Learning Disabilities.

The girl is non-verbal however she communicates using hand gestures. The girl is mostly independent with personal care tasks, however, will allow someone to support once a trusting relationship has been built.

The role will involve supporting the girl in her home environment and out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):

· Trampolining

· Running

· Climbing

· Sensory based tasks

The girl has a regimented routine and is very sensitive to certain noises, so the ideal candidate would need to be patient and understanding of this to help diffuse any challenging behaviour which may occur.

The young girl is also very affectionate and has high energy levels, therefore the ideal candidate would need to be comfortable with this and be able to keep up with her high levels of activity.

Experience working with and understanding children living with disabilities is essential for this role.

Candidates must also hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle with adequate business insurance.

Job Description

The family of a 11-year-old boy living in the Workington area are currently recruiting for 2 Personal Assistants to support the boy on a 2:1 basis, who is non-verbal and has Autism with a variety of tasks and activities.
