Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

· Work to a high standard to undertake inspections, services, and repairs of our fleet of HGV vehicles and other company vehicles.

· Ability to follow planned work schedules and use strong communication and teamwork skills with the transport administration function to ensure that the requirements of the company ‘O Licence’ are met.

· Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs of various pieces of plant and machinery as required.

· Ability to work independently on routine servicing and site breakdowns ensuring that work is controlled and carried out efficiently.

· Meet deadlines as required.

· Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults within the fleet when they arise.

· Compliance with company health and safety policies and guidance documentation

· Assisting with MOT preparation and inspections when needed.

· Carry out any other reasonable task which may arise from time to time according to the needs of the workshop.

Essential requirements:

· Qualified HGV Mechanic

· Previous experience in a workshop environment

· Full UK driving licence.

Desirable requirements:

· HGV licence
