About The Role:
Working as a key part of the Installations team at PNZ Energy, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems, mainly in domestic properties. You will ensure all work complies with regulatory standards and company procedures. You will engage with third-party suppliers and contractors, while also collaborating closely with the wider PNZ team to support the company’s needs.
The role will mainly operate across the North West, with wider travel possible in line with the general requirements of the business.
You will also work with our compliance team to help maintain the companies mechanical and renewable qualifications and accreditations.
The successful candidate will report to the Operations Department and may be required to work independently or as part of a wider installation team.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) in domestic settings across the UK.
- Conducting on-site surveys and assessments to determine system requirements.
- Providing technical support for clients and internal teams regarding plumbing, heating and ASHP systems.
- Collaborating with sales and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations (Gas Safe, MCS & ECO4) and best practices.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on gas and ASHP systems.
- Keeping accurate records of work activities, materials used, and time spent.
- Participating in the development and improvement of installation procedures
Qualifications:
- BPEC or formal qualification in Domestic Heat Pump.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating.
- WRAS Water Regulations (may be included within the NVQ).
- Energy Efficiency Part L Certification.
- Unvented Hot Water Cylinders (G3 regulations) qualification.
- Domestic Gas qualifications.
- LPG and Oil qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Manufacturers training on specific heat pumps would be advantageous, but not essential.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of ASHP systems.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to or experience with recording and updating job progress on the company CRM.
- Full and clean driving licence
Package:
- Salary: £35,000 to £45,000.00 per annum, dependant on experience
- Provided: Van & Tools
- Overtime: Possibly available Monday-Sunday
