Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant

Hours: Monday – Friday 7am to 5pm, alternate Saturdays 6.30am to 3.30pm

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at MP Moran, a family-owned builders’ merchant. In our Willesden store we offer a range of plumbing and building supplies.

As a Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of plumbing materials.
• Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with plumbing product inquiries and provide expert advice.
• Process orders accurately, handle invoicing, and manage payments efficiently.
• Replenish stock on the shop floor and participate in regular stock counts.
• Assist with deliveries to and from the store.
• Handle telephone inquiries effectively, maintaining clear communication with customers and colleagues.
• Respond positively and promptly to customer needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

MP Moran Builders Merchant is thrilled to announce the opening of our new Tottenham store in March 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a Plumbing Trade Counter Assistant to join this branch where we offer a range of plumbing and building supplies.

As a Plumbing Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Requirements:

• Working 48.5 hours per week, shifts between 6am-5pm Monday to Friday, and alternate weekends.
• Solid understanding of plumbing materials.
• Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.
