We have a fantastic opportunity for a Practice/Business Manager to join our innovative, fast-growing dental practices in South West London and Central London. In this role, you will not only lead and support the development of the main practice but also assist with managing another location, ensuring both sites deliver exceptional service to staff and patients alike. We are seeking a leader who is dedicated to driving growth while fostering a positive and supportive environment for the team and our patients.

You will manage two modern with a great teams and great clinicians who offer general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, as well as facial and body aesthetic treatments. You will be ready to use your experience of excellent patient focused service delivery, and support your team to provide an outstanding patient experience.

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience of customer service/reception role, or 2 year practice management experience
  • Experience of ordering stock/tracking invoices
  • Experience of line management or supervisory role for other staff
  • Excellent attention to detail and prepared to work with different specialists

Preferred:

  • 3 years experience of dental nursing

Skill Expectations:

  • Excellent communication and understanding of coaching techniques
  • Experience in building a performance culture
  • Good knowledge of business development including data analysis
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude – advocating and championing change
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to navigate a middle-management role, supporting staff, while also feeding up to or down from the company directors

Job Specification: Operational Management

  • Oversee and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
  • Organise and lead regular staff meetings to address updates, feedback, and operational goals.
  • Handle staff sickness reporting and ensure appropriate cover is arranged.

Communication & Coordination

  • Act as the primary liaison between the practice and third-party companies such as suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to ensure efficient patient care and address their operational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the web developer and videographer to enhance the practice’s online presence and marketing efforts.

Business Development & Marketing

  • Drive business growth by developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies.
  • Generate new business ideas and opportunities to expand the patient base and enhance service offerings.
  • Analyse marketing campaigns’ performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate patient records, compliance documentation, and financial reports.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and legal requirements such as health and safety, data protection, and CQC standards.

Team Leadership

  • Motivate and manage staff, fostering a positive and professional workplace culture.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the team to maintain harmony and efficiency.

Patient Care

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
  • Manage patient queries and complaints professionally, aiming for prompt resolution.

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor budgets, track expenses, and oversee invoicing and payments.

Innovation & Digital Presence

  • Coordinate with the web developer and marketing team to keep the practice’s website updated.
  • Collaborate with the videographer and social media apprentice to create engaging content showcasing the practice.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 21 per week
