The Opportunity

Driven by sustained demand, we are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our esteemed legal team. You’ll become part of a diverse team of over 100 professionals who share a deep commitment to client care. We offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time and full-time options, to accommodate varying schedules beyond traditional office hours, recognising that 9:00 am – 5:30 pm doesn’t suit everyone.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience.

Requirements

• Essential: Previous experience and proficiency in private client work within the Scottish Legal system.
• Strong organisational skills, adept at prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Proven ability to manage a full caseload with extensive client interaction to successful completion.

You will have strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise work and meet target deadlines under time pressure.

You should be experienced in running a full caseload to completion in a role that requires a significant amount of client contact.

Main Responsibilities Include:

• Taking ownership of the transaction from commencement through to conclusion.
• Dealing with transactions in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Providing an excellent service and communication to clients.
• Supporting, training, and coaching junior members of the team.
• Completion of all relevant paperwork.
• Dealing with calls and correspondence.
• Liaising with Solicitors and other estate agents/ mortgage brokers.

The role

We have an exciting vacancy for a newly qualified Solicitor to join our private client team and provide an exemplary service to our clients. You will be responsible for your own caseload as well as assisting senior colleagues in matters relating to wills, powers of attorney, family and business governance, succession and tax planning.

The candidate:

Our ideal candidate will have experience working within a private client firm, assisting high net worth clients. You will have experience managing a busy, diverse workload, strong interpersonal skills both written and oral, a commitment to provide excellent client care and the ability to work collaboratively and support other members of the team.
