Production Technician

Your responsibilities will include:
- Controlling chemical and other stock levels and consumables by control and management of purchasing via SAP. Monitoring and controlling expenditure to meet budgetary targets
- Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital maintenance breakdowns and projects ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS requirements and ensuring quality control
- To liaise with ME&I team on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work
- Liaising and planning work with network supervisors and operatives to ensure uninterrupted supply when plant shut downs are required for maintenance and other associated work required on site
- Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience gained in the industry to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S issues
- Computer systems literate including SAP, Scope X, Exchange, Word and Excel
- Awareness of regulatory bodies such as DWI and Environment Agency/NRW
- Dealing with control of abstraction under licence at raw water intakes
- Dealing with discharge consent licence for all environmental discharges
- Fully conversant with Company BMS procedures and Health and Safety requirement and control is desirable
- Experience gained in the industry with use of SCADA systems, Instrumentation and Mechanical and Electrical equipment is desirable
