The vacancy

Moore Barlow is seeking a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join our Southampton based team.

Our offices are modern, with an on site subsidised restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. The space is great for collaborative working or to take a well-earned break. Day to Day:

You will be responsible for ensuring that all purchases of goods and services on behalf of the Firm are completely and accurately accounted for in accordance with the purchasing procedures, to include processing supplier invoices, payments and regular reconciliation of the supplier accounts. You will be involved in setting targets and objectives along with ongoing development and improvement of processes and systems.


What we look for:

  • Supervision or management experience working within a finance department is essential.
  • Experience of working within Purchase Ledger roles, ideally within a law firm or similar professional services business.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Experience of using Elite 3E would be advantageous.
  • A good working knowledge of relevant VAT rules.
  • A good knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules would be of benefit.
