Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products by implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and familiarity with quality assurance standards, including HACCP principles.

Duties

  • Conduct regular inspections and tests of products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyse data from quality control processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Document findings and prepare reports on product quality, including any non-conformance issues.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Participate in internal audits and assist in external audits as required.
  • Collecting and collating samples for shelf life testing
  • Hold daily taste panels and conduct final inspections including completing QAS on samples
  • Take samples for lab analysis and arrange collection
  • Cary out daily calibration of temperature probes and weighing scales
  • Conduct monthly glass, brittle & hard plastic, ceramic and similar material audits
  • Collate trial information and assist with the creation and updating of internal specifications
  • Assisting with the investigation of customer complaints

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Familiarity with HACCP principles and their application in quality control processes is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey quality standards and procedures.
