Mulberry bush day nursery (mulbarton) ltd
Qualified Nursery Assistant/Practitioner – Baby Room
Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced key person to join our baby room, working with children aged 6 – 24 months.
You need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or have completed your level 2 qualification and be ready to start your level 3.) You must have experience of working in a full day care nursery, ideally in the under 24 month age range.
We are seeking applicants with a passion and affinity for the early years age group. You will be an enthusiastic and nurturing practitioner, dedicated to the care and support needed to help very young children grow, learn and thrive. We are looking for people with a warm and friendly disposition who enjoy working in a team of like-minded practitioners. You will be based within a dedicated team skilled in looking after our youngest children.
Mulberry Bush is a full day care setting, open from 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday, 51 weeks a year, for children aged 6 months to 5 years. You must be available to fill a full-time position, which is 8am-6pm, 4 days a week, with a set day off each week. We are open all-year-round and we do not offer term-time employment contracts.
Mulberry Bush is a thriving and popular nursery with an excellent reputation for high quality care and education and a genuine commitment to inclusion and working in partnership with families. You can find out more about our nursery ethos on our website.
After training you will be expected to take on a key-person role, having responsibility for the care and development of the children, and nurturing positive partnerships with parents and carers. The successful applicant will be a dedicated childcare practitioner with a good working knowledge of child development and a passion for supporting every child’s individuality. We are looking the right person to complete our friendly baby room team – to continue to build on best practice, and to bring your own ideas and enthusiasm. You will be required to work within the EYFS and take an active role in the planning and implementation of activities based around a child-centred ethos and working from our book-led curriculum.
To apply please email the nursery with a detailed covering letter and your CV. If you meet our requirements we will be back in touch and send you an Application Form. You are welcome to telephone or email for more information. Visits are also welcome – just get in touch.
Mulberry Bush is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
If you are passionate about childcare and creating a positive impact on young lives, we would love to hear from you!
