We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

• Day to day running of the commercial side of the business is anticipated for the right person or development into this role
• Working within the management team, linking in directly to Directors
• Perfect person is capable of selling the business and finding new opportunities

We work mainly in residential properties completing a wide range of building, extensions and renovation projects thus presentation and professionalism is key.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, from initial estimating including ability to breakdown jobs into schedule of rates, contract formation and ensuring projects are delivered within budget with ability to run projects as part of a team.

Duties

– Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects

– Conduct risk analysis evaluations

– Evaluate tenders from subcontractors

– Monitor project progress and costs throughout the construction process

– Prepare and submit final accounts

Experience

– Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

– Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and materials

– Excellent numerical and analytical skills with good IT skills essential

– Membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is desirable

• Polite and professional
• IT literate (within reason, we use project software on phones/iPads)
• Clean driving licence
• Experience in QS/Estimator/Buyer type roles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
