Medsolve have a superb opportunity for Registered Manager to provide care and support within a Children’s Home based in Gateshead.

Salary:

up to £55,000 working full time, plus an extensive benefits package, career progression.

Requirements of the Home Manager:

  • Must have experience In Residential Children’s Social Care with a minimum of two years’ experience, Ideally as a deputy or senior member of staff.
  • An understanding of Trauma Informed Care and therapeutic background. a working knowledge of PACE and effective understanding of what a therapeutic placement looks like for children Is advantageous or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills with a very nurturing side and string Interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ Diploma In Residential Childcare / Health and Social Care Children’s Workforce (or equivalent) Or have a NVQ Level 5 In Residential Childcare or equivalent or be willing to work towards this qualification within two years.
  • Must have at least one years’ experience In a management and supervisory role.
  • Be able and wiling to pass an Ofsted Fit Person Interview.
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • Confidence and Understanding of The Children’s Homes Regulations and all legislation associated with the running of a registered Children’s Home.
  • Confidence when dealing with people, the ability to challenge, guide and mentor.
  • A clear DBS and positive references from all companies where you have worked with children or vulnerable adults.
  • The ability and strength of character to deal with challenging situations a non – consequential and nurturing way with the confidence to set appropriate boundaries and Implement the companies policies and procedures.
  • The ability to be empathetic and work therapeutically to make a difference to our children’s lives by providing consistent and passionate care.
