· Currently at The Fitzwilliam Care Centre we are looking for Registered nurses – for both our day & night shifts to provide the highest possible standard of nursing care in a professional manner through direct nursing care, effective supervision of staff members and to take management responsibility on shift when required so previous supervisory experience would be beneficial.

Duties will include, but are not limited to :

· You will be responsible for administering medication, writing, monitoring and updating care plans along with keeping all daily records accurate. You will also be required to ensure all mandatory training is up to date and complete any additional training as required in accordance with the company’s procedures and relevant guidelines.

· Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by client care needs and the Registered Manager.

· You will support our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.

· Assess Social and healthcare needs of new residents and maintain thorough and accurate on-going assessment and reviews of all other residents.

· Report any ill health amongst residents and make requests for GP/ Professional visits where necessary.

· Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, giving help and guidance where appropriate.

· To build and maintain long standing relationships with residents and relatives. You must promote our resident’s choice, dignity and independence at all times and assist with the management of the care team, completing all action plans and ensuring care plans are updated and evaluated regularly. This should ensure positive outcomes for our residents including, no pressure sores, no unavoidable weight loss (or gain), safe administration of medication, and ensuring any falls are minimised etc.

· To fully understand our clients likes/dislikes and needs throughout their stay with us.

Essential Requirements

· Relevant Professional Registered Nurse qualifications

· Receipt of satisfactory references

· Leadership skills

· Ability to work under pressure

· Good time Management

· Positive and enthusiastic outlook

· Flexibility with working hours

· Good Written and oral communication

· Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning

· To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.

· Ability to work both independently and within a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £20.50 per hour
