We are now looking for an experienced Sales Representative for our Water Solutions segment. Water Solutions is Kemira’s largest business unit. It is mirroring our ambition to significantly expand our water business, both organically and through strategic acquisitions.

As an expert in activated carbon, you will support the development and sales of activated carbon into the Urban Water industry. Kemira is an industry leader in supporting chemical applications at the mine sites, and in identifying and applying the most effective chemical applications used in mineral processing. The position will be based from home and cover the whole of the UK and Ireland.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets and developing profitable business within the market. You will also understand the complexities of providing reactivation services within the municipal water marketplace.
  • Supporting in the preparation of short and mid-range sales plans to reach nominated targets and supporting the development of the demand forecast and strategies for achieving results.
  • Retaining long-term customer relationships with established accounts projected to generate future sales and repeat business.
  • Negotiating complex sales contracts and effectively communicating with all key stakeholders.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and actively gather competitive intelligence.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or other science related degree or equivalent.
  • Proven sales experience and strong technical background gained in the activated carbon market, ideally with a knowledge of water treatment chemicals.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Customer relationship management and reporting, preferably with experience of Salesforce.
  • Willing to travel (up to 60%, Europe occasionally).
