SEN Lead and Inclusion Officer
Job Description
Brakes Community Foundation CIO, the charitable partner of Leamington FC, have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate for work beginning in 2025.
The outstanding candidate will be responsible for the planning, delivery and associated administration for the role of SEN Lead and Inclusion Officer adhering to the coaching philosophy, vision and values of the company.
Brakes Community Foundation CIO have a number of new and exciting projects beginning in 2025.
Essential Criteria
- Experienced working 1 to 1 or in an SEN environment
- Minimum level 2 relevant qualification
- Qualified to degree level (desirable)
- An interest in sport and physical activity
- First aid and safeguarding certification
- Must be prepared to cover work at different venues
- Current enhanced DBS
- Qualifications in sports coaching would be desirable
- Knowledge of in school delivery and best practice for KS1 and KS2, including SEN
- Full, clean driving license essential
Session Details
- Part time
- Working hours will vary from 9.30am – 14.30pm Monday to Friday
- Some evening and weekend work may be required but this is flexible
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, delivery and evaluating sessions for 1 to 1 or small groups
- Responsible for offering engaging inclusive sessions
- To evaluate pupils and sessions and report to up line as and when necessary
- To be fully responsible for the safety and welfare of all participants under your care
- Child Development and Progression – every child matters approach
- To liaise on a regular basis with the Head of Football Development to ensure that the needs of all participants are catered for.
- Safeguarding
- Understand the company Safeguarding policy, procedures and best practice guidelines. Use this understanding to ensure safer recruitment, safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.
- Other responsibilities
- To attend staff meetings and CPD as required.
- To be aware of current trends and best practice in a school environment
- To continually look for ways to develop and improve our coaching programme.
- Actively take part in selling our community programmes to local partners
