Full-time Live-in SEN Nanny job offer in Dubai, with International travel and time in London
This busy family are looking for a bright, caring, experienced daily SEN nanny who has lots of energy and common sense.The role will be caring for 6-year-old B/G twins, primarily supporting the little boy who has hyperactivity, developmental delays, and ADHD, alongside another nanny who will help with support for the little girl.
The boy is supported by a team of therapists. He has good language but needs firm boundaries and a nanny who can support with behaviour.If the nanny has training in ABA this would be advantageous. Communication with the parents and the child’s therapists is very important and the nanny needs to be skilled in this area.
Responsibilities
- Caring for 6-year-old B/G twins, primarily supporting the little boy who has hyperactivity, developmental delays, and ADHD, alongside another nanny who will help with support for the little girl.
- The ideal nanny will take full responsibility for sourcing educational materials, organising activities and educational plans, coordinating with therapists, and preparing for travel arrangements.
Requirements
- The family will provide the necessary visas for working in Dubai. This is a fully staffed household, so nursery duties are not part of the role.
- The position requires flexibility, as the family travels frequently, including regular trips to the UK, sometimes on short notice.
- The family seeks a candidate who can commit to a minimum of two years to ensure stability and a consistent approach for the child. They are looking for an active and energetic nanny with proven experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN). Experience working within an intergenerational family environment would be an added advantage.
- The nanny should be adaptable and able to integrate smoothly into the family dynamic, offering support as needed.
- The family values flexibility and is happy to accommodate personal preferences, such as adjusting days off to align with visits from the nanny’s friends or family in Dubai. This option would only be available after the initial 4-6 weeks, once the nanny has settled into the role and established a bond with the child and family.
Additionally, when the nanny is not required to attend meetings or manage child-related tasks, they are encouraged to use this downtime for personal activities, such as going to the gym.
Work conditions
- Start Date; ASAP
- The nanny will be required to work 5 days (flexible).
- The hours will be 6.30am to 7.30 / 8.30pm with time off during the day when the children are at school.
- Location: Dubai with International travel and time in London (N2)
- Position: Daily SEN Nanny (accommodation in Dubai provided)
- Apartment accommodation for the nanny’s sole use will be provided in the JLT (Jumeriah Lake Tower) area of Dubai.
- A driver would collect the nanny and drive them back home at the start and end of each working day.
- Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications
