Marina View Care Home is looking to recruit a Senior Care Assistant for night shift on a permanent basis with contracts.

ABOUT YOU:

  • To join us in the first phase of recruitment you will have experience as a senior care assistant within a care home setting caring for older people.
  • You will preferably hold an SVQ 3 qualification.
  • You will have a kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of care and support for the residents.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and have a desire to work in a participatory manner with residents and relatives to enable them to achieve desired outcomes and goals.
  • You will have experience and passion for supporting and developing less experienced staff members to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and support.
  • You will have the right to work within the UK.

Duties Included (But not limited to):

To assist in the provision of care and work part of a team to achieve required standards.

To ensure residents retain their dignity and individuality.

To be involved in the general activities of the Home/Unit.

Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents, when required with personal care and all other aspects of daily living.

Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting.

Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of residents.

Assist residents who need help during meal times, helping with serving of food, drinks as requested/required and wash up as requested/required.

Observe, monitor and record residents physical and emotional well-being and report any changes notified by care staff.

Encourage residents to participate in social and recreational activities.

Promoting safe working practice and ensure the good reputation of the Home.

Dispense medication, and ensure correct recording of all relevant information relating to medication (after satisfactory completion of the Safe Handling of Medicines course).

Ensure all holistic assessments are carried out when Residents are admitted to the Home. e.g. covering nutritional and incontinence issues, risk assessment etc.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant on days to join our dynamic and caring team at Randolph House Care Home. You must be committed and passionate in your clinical practice. Purpose of the role

  • To take responsibility as the prime carer to provide for one or a defined group of Service Users, assessing, developing and evaluating programmes of care.
