Job Description

New Year, New Job!

Do you want to work for an established and successful company? One that puts you and the young people above all else!

I am on the hunt for Senior Children’s Support Workers to join this community and work in a beautiful residence that can be home to 4 Young People. As the homes specialise in therapeutic EBD Care, the young people under your care can vary from ADHD and Autism to poor mental health from heavy trauma to suicidal ideation. Although experience is always ideal and appreciated, what I want is for someone to show me their passions and drive for the sector.

You will be helping shape the lives of these young people, so love and care, as well as determination to guide, is one of the most important aspects. As this will be their home, you will need to make the young people feel safe and looked after.

This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can effectively communicate and implement care plans tailored to the needs of each child. The Support Worker will work with professionals to ensure a supportive environment that promotes the well-being and development of the children in their care.

Benefits

⭐ Opportunity to work in other sites.

⭐ Multiple home events, bringing the community together.

⭐ Paid training – clear and highly praised progression path

⭐ Opening more sites, so there is massive room for growth.

⭐ Management is fully staffed, so support is guaranteed.

⭐ Employee of the month – £50 vouchers of your choice.

⭐ 28 days Holiday PLUS chance to increase.

⭐ Every 2 years worked, you gain an extra 2 days holiday.

⭐ Annual bonus of 1% of hours worked.

Requirements

✅ Someone with empathy.

✅ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and families.

✅ Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.

✅ Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

✅ Proficiency in IT to maintain records and communicate with team members efficiently.

✅ A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation purposes.

✅ Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and possess the required skills, we encourage you to apply for this fulfilling role as a Support Worker. If this role doesn’t quite hit all the points you are looking for, feel free to reach out to me, Lewis at Degreesix on the number 0116 464 00 31 and I will happily talk about other roles I am looking for.
