Job Description

To lead in supporting the National Monitoring Solution Development Manager and wider Information Governance Team with the implementation and continuing development in the areas of Confidentiality, Records Management, Data Protection and General Data Protection Regulations. The post holder will provide advice and support to internal and external stakeholders within Wales in particular in the areas of assurance, monitoring and standards. There will be a requirement to input in a variety of national projects and programmes and to help shape DHCW’ Information Governance and organisational strategy.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Support the development of the National Intelligent Integrated Audit Solution in terms of national clinical application integration, operational support, supplier liaison, user base support, new workflow development reporting to National Medical Directors on solution usage

Act as lead support on the use of the National Intelligent Integrated Audit Solution for monitoring access to patient systems such as the Welsh Clinical Portal

Support and mentor other team members in respect of the Privacy Impact Assessments Process for National Applications

Provides and receives information on Information Governance matters which may be complicated; provides training in own area of expertise

Knowledge of a range of Information Governance areas acquired through qualification to degree or equivalent level or expertise

Act as lead support on the certification to the British Standard 10008:2014 Evidential Weight and Legal Admissibility of Electronic Information for national data repositories. Including a national audit of appropriate documents for existing standards and liaising with product owners to inform gap analysis and supplier liaison. This is in line with national requirements to address record retention debates

Supporting and leading on representing information governance interests in respect of National technical standards such as national electronic communication
