Senior Litigation Lawyer

Job Description

Martin Kaye LLP is a modern partnership of solicitors with offices in Telford, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury and Wem with an enviable local, regional and national client base.

Exciting prospect for an ambitious, motivated, and enthusiastic Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 5 year’s PQE or equivalent with a reputable firm. You will be expected to conduct your own case load of Litigation matters and supervise a litigation solicitor and support staff in order to achieve agreed fee earning performance targets. You should enjoy working to and achieving deadlines within a busy office environment. You will be skilled at dealing with clients, professionals and other third parties to provide an excellent level of service and have a willingness to take part in business generation and development.

You will be experienced and skilled with a mixture of medium to high value and complex commercial disputes including contract, director/shareholder disputes, warranty claims, insolvency work, debt recovery, fraud and professional negligence. Experience of contentious property work is preferable (but not essential) including possession proceedings, rights of way and boundary/land disputes.
You will have a willingness to participate in business generation and development.

Excellent organisational, written and IT skills are essential. The successful candidate will be proficient with MS Office, experience using a case management system is ideal but not essential.
