Martek Marine specialises in providing sustainable solutions to the maritime industry to ensure ship safety, efficiency, and crew well-being!
Originally, Martek was set up in the Dearne Valley to help regenerate the area in 2000 post the decline of the mining industry. Many of the team have been with the company since the start, having progressed and developed into various departments.
A typical day in this role might include:
- Checking what has come in overnight, and what needs to be urgently completed that morning
- Processing warehouse shipments from various teams across the organisation e.g. customer service and sales
- Managing and recording the daily shipping expectations and any clearance issues
- After lunch you might spend some time in the logistics inbox processing the imports that are awaiting customs clearance.
- You then might spend some time managing and auditing the approval of courier invoices. Then preparing some courier reports.
- Before you leave for the day you might catch up with the rest of the team, helping them ensure they are supported in achieving overall KPIs
This role would be perfect for someone who is
- Highly organised
- A great verbal and written communicator
- Quick to learn
- Has experience in a high-volume transactional administration role
Knowledge of International Trade and previous experience in a similar role would of course be an advantage, but please do still apply if you think the role could be a great fit.
