Medsolve have a superb opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker to provide care and support in a 5 bed (EBD) children’s home based in Surrey.

Salary:

£14.50 – £16.00 per hour (OTE £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year) depending on experience (includes sleep-ins – circa £4,000 per year) and possible overtime.

The role of the Support Worker:

• Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation.
• Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies.
• To ensure the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhere to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.
• To ensure that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from shift and Managers.
• To maintain and promote residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by Ofsted.

Requirements of the Senior Support Worker:

• Experience in a children’s home setting
• Flexibility to work shift patterns (including sleep-in) – rota given in advance
• Full, UK driving licence
• All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet regulations
• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent
