Account Overview
Across two of the businesses key accounts we are looking for a SEO Account Manager to provide strong SEO expertise. The role is a strong mix of delivery and strategy, offering plenty of variety, with an enjoyable balance between hands-on SEO, strategic consultancy and market governance, ensuring we’re delivering change at scale.

Overview
We have a unique opportunity to raise the bar for SEO, working with some of the biggest brands on the planet eager to showcase their supremacy online. As an SEO Manager you will be partnering with brands to ensure they have a clear strategy in place to maximize on the organic opportunity available, which will include working with brands at varied stages of digital maturity. You will be practically involved at every level, crawling sites, assessing data and developing solutions to achieve SEO success. As you do this, you will help educate the wider Local Market teams on your approach to ensure the same principles ring true across the region, driving SEO excellence further still.


Responsibilities

  • Develop organic search strategies for specific business units, practically detailing recommendations at a granular level e.g. technical audits, gap analysis etc.
  • Effective, positive management of more junior members in the team.
  • Build up a constructive, positive rapport with client contacts and third party enablers like content agencies and development teams.
  • Confident with figures, reporting with purpose to deliver key messages efficiently.
  • Commitment to driving initiatives focused on driving share of voice and positive consumer experiences on-site.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in SEO.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Impressive track record formulating SEO strategies, implementing them and charting subsequent improved business performance. We view our clients businesses as our own and we expect you to as well.
  • Ability to demystify SEO to ensure clients understand what actions are required to achieve compelling results. Craft compelling stories with ease to make this clear.
  • Enjoy working as part of a talented, multi-faceted team united in a common effort to produce best in class SEO activity as a cohesive, positive unit.
  • Holds a genuine interest in SEO and preferably Digital more broadly, engaging with the specialism in a passionate, intellectual capacity.
  • Takes pride in their work, yet ambitious to achieve more and move with the times e.g. generative AI.
  • Experience with a wide range of SEO tools e.g. BrightEdge.
  • Confident delving into the data in Google Analytics, Search Console etc.
  • Analytically minded, with the ability to identify trends within data sets.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Extensive experience using PowerPoint and Excel – creating and formatting presentations, sorting and filtering data, creating graphs and tables etc.
  • Calm under pressure.

Requirements:

We’re looking for an experienced SEO specialist to manage and deliver SEO campaigns for a variety of high profile clients, spanning a diverse mix of industries, from automotive, to leisure, finance and charity.

You will be responsible for producing SEO proposals, creating SEO reports for existing clients, presenting and analysing data, optimising campaigns and pro-actively making recommendations to clients.

As someone immersed in the digital media industry, you’ll proactively keep up to date with new developments in SEO, whilst actively researching, testing and proposing new approaches to improve search engine rankings, as well as site conversion rates where applicable.

Ideally you’ll have a proven background in an agency environment, managing large SEO accounts and optimising campaigns, however, we’re also interested in hearing from you if you’re currently working in an in-house team & are excited by the prospect of moving agency side.

Ultimately you’ll thrive in a vibrant and friendly agency team and will play a key role in growing our SEO and content marketing offering.


Ideal Person:

  • Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering SEO activity
  • A proactive and positive “can do” attitude
  • Experience in using Deep Crawl, Moz, SEMrush, Screaming Frog or other industry standard SEO tools
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Pro-activity and the ability to be able to work with the minimum supervision
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines and under pressure
  • Strong relationship builder with team, other departments and external partners
  • Self-motivated to learn new SEO skills and stay up to date with the industry

Key Skills:

  • All aspects of SEO, including audits, consultancy, on-going SEO retainers and website migrations
  • A strong understanding of Technical SEO, how to identify, fix or enhance issues to improve performance
  • A strong understanding of the role of content and the ability to work on content strategy and content implementation projects
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Can manage and deliver link-building campaigns
  • Liaising with web developers and other internal stakeholders for delivery of projects
  • Can manage and deliver campaigns based on conversion rate optimisation
  • Experience of web analytics tools
  • Experience of using a Content Management System
  • Comfortable with copy-writing for webpages and blog posts
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with manipulating and analysing large amounts of data
  • Content marketing experience
  • Good knowledge of Webmaster Tools and Google Adwords
