Job Description

Based in the London office, the Show and Multimedia Operations Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring activities are efficient and aligned with the organisation’s goals. The key operational areas within this role include audio and DSP, digital video, broadcast, stage machinery, automation, rigging, theatre lighting, and house lighting. Theis role also involves providing input on new projects and closely monitoring all dry dock processes to ensure continuity across operations. Additionally, it requires maintaining regular daily catch-ups with traveling personnel to stay updated on ongoing activities and support required.

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a Technical Multimedia & Rigging background within the Cruise industry
  • Experience in all areas of Show and Multimedia, with experience and knowledge of Audio systems
  • Degree qualified, or holding similar qualifications in Media technologies, Show & Multimedia, or similar, is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of safety and compliance within stage, machinery, and rigging is essential
  • The ability to manage workflows and optimise processes at a high level
  • Ensuring that daily processes run smoothly while monitoring activities to maintain quality standards meeting deadlines and guaranteeing continuity across operations and Dry Dock activities.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting technical issues across all operational areas, ensuring minimal downtime and effective problem resolution collaborating with team members and relevant departments to analyse root causes and implement long-term solutions.
  • Maintains regular catchups with Traveling Fleet Supervisors to ensure schedules align with operational requirements, company standards and guidelines.
  • Analyses workflows and proposes improvements to increase efficiency and reduces resource waste and unnecessary delays.
  • Plans and monitors operational costs to ensure they stay within budget and collaborates with other departments to ensure effective resource utilization.
  • Provides regular performance reports and identifies issues and proposes data-driven solutions.
  • ensures customer technical expectations are met and coordinates with suppliers to maintain a consistent supply of materials and\/or services.
  • Ensures all operations comply with company standards and reference safety\/quality regulations, overseeing the implementation of procedures to minimise risks.
  • Coordinates and implements requests from productions and other colleagues communicating effectively with team members, travelling fleet supervisor, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide a strong understanding of MSC products and features, collaborating and communicating effectively with other departments to ensure excellent support is consistently delivered.VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
