Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software systems on a range of platforms to meet specifications and business objectives.
  • Examine existing software and determine requirements for new or modified systems in light of business needs.
  • Undertake feasibility studies to design software solutions.
  • Write and code individual programs according to requirement specifications.
  • Develop user interfaces and operational documentation, providing subsequent support and training for users.
  • Implement and evaluate new networking environments, including software and hardware.
  • Test and correct software programs, developing and implementing test plans for IT software and systems.
  • Identify sources of problems, propose solutions, and document testing processes for security systems, software, and network environments.
  • Make recommendations concerning software/system quality and undertake the testing of software and systems for errors.
  • Develop quality standards and validation techniques, making recommendations concerning software/system quality.
  • Examine IT systems for potential threats to security and integrity, drawing up response plans for compromised security.
  • Develop test plans for security systems and document the testing of security system weaknesses and errors.
  • Ensure network security, report on, investigate, and fix network faults.
  • Monitor network performance and make recommendations concerning network quality.
  • Create user accounts and provide troubleshooting services to users, ensuring ongoing network and system security.
