Job Description

About us

Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) provides high quality and personalised support and care for over 300 individuals across Fife and Forth Valley. We support the individuals we work with to manage or overcome challenges, including age-related issues, alcohol and drug addictions, autism spectrum disorders, complex needs, homelessness, learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Our aim is to support people to have a safe and secure home, to live as independently as

possible in their own home, to live as full a life as possible and to be part of their local

community. We provide flexible, responsive and person centred support which assists

people to live their lives as they wish and to enable them to meet their desired outcomes.

About you

We are looking for upbeat, confident and energetic individuals who have the desire and drive

to support people to live their best life possible. You must be aware of professional

boundaries. You will provide support and participate in activities so energy and initiative is

vital.

There is no typical day within KSC, one day you can be supporting individuals with cooking and shopping whilst the next can be taken up going swimming, arts/craft or simply having a coffee and providing emotional support. Providing personal care is an essential part of the role, as well as administering and supporting individuals to take their prescribed medication.

Each of the individuals we support are all different hence why we need people from all walks of life with a range of interests, who have the commitment and passion to make a difference to the lives of others.

You must either have an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or be willing to work towards this qualification within the relevant timeframe outlined by the SSSC.

It is essential you are able to work shifts which will include weekend working and evenings, shifts starting at 7.30am, or finishing at 10pm.

Job Description

In this role, you will be an integral member of the support team contributing to and ensuring

the high quality of care and support for individuals within the Cupar Service.

Within the Cupar Service specifically we provide flexible support to individuals with mental

health issues, added learning disabilities as well as physical disabilities.

Our role is to support and develop these individuals to allow them to partake in the transition

from both a hospital setting or living with family into social housing with the final goal being

able to live as independently as possible within the community, where possible.

The service and support we provide is built around the individual, taking on board their

needs, choices and aspirations. No day is ever the same, but every day is rewarding to see

how much joy these individuals get from the support they receive.

We offer an attractive salary and benefits package including a contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement.
