Job title: Talent Management Officer (Grade 6)

Location: Service Headquarters, Maidstone – mixture of office and home working – 3 days per week in office (with travel countywide, based on needs)

Hours: Full time – 37 Hours per week

Base salary: £36,616 – £40,798 per annum depending on experience

Pension: Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme – career average pension scheme with 17.5% employer contribution

Holidays: In addition to entitlement to bank/ public holidays you will receive 30 days holiday

Total Reward value: £42,671.30 – £47,937.65 per annum

Being the Talent Management Officer

You will provide advice and support internally across all talent management activities. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures to support talent progression.

You will call upon your practitioner-level expertise and the application of both theoretical and procedural knowledge to facilitate the progression of internal talent across the organisation

What you’ll do

  • Implement and administer Talent Management practices
  • Manage and carry out all activities related to internal mobility through facilitating talent review practices to support talent pipelining, promotions and internal appointments
  • Advise managers on following talent management processes and reinforce the importance of a developing and progressing talent from within KFRS.
  • Support the delivery and facilitation of internal talent programmes, workshops, and co-facilitating the assessment centres
  • Support the job evaluation process, to ensure correct procedures are followed and documentation is in place.
  • Analyse and assess job roles to ensure accurate representation and fair evaluation in line with internal frameworks.

What you’ll bring

  • Knowledge and practical application of job evaluation processes/ methodologies
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR and employment legislation in relation to talent management
  • Part of fully qualified CIPD OR
  • A wide experience across all aspects of recruitment and relevant professional qualification
