Our teaching assistants or "Learning Support Assistants" as we call them are central to how we change children’s lives.

No two days are the same for a Learning Support Assistant at Macintyre School in Wingrave, whether you are heading out into the community on work experience, developing life skills in the kitchen, making music or getting messy in a sensory play activity. In this role you will be making a real difference in a young person’s life, now and for their future. During your day you will be working closely with the class teacher and the rest of your team to deliver an innovative and challenging curriculum, individually tailored to each student. Although working 1:1 you will have the opportunity to work with and build strong relationships with all the students in your class.

If you are inspired by supporting young people with complex needs to achieve and live happy fulfilled lives in a way that makes sense to them, then we would love to hear from you. We provide a comprehensive induction and training package with the opportunity to work alongside experienced team members who will support you on your journey.
