⭐️BSL Teaching Assistant ⭐️

Location: Luton

Pay: £90-£100 per day (PAYE only)

DegreeSix are working with a large mainstream secondary school in Luton who have a specialist provision for children with hearing defects. This particular school work with children from years 7 to post 16, they have an experienced SEND leadership team with a proven track record to help employees with their career progression. This school are looking for someone confident in British Sign Language to assist the students with there daily challenges.

This is a full-time role from 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday however part-time may be considered for this role.

The Role:

• Working with children who need extra support with their academic and social skills
• Assisting with tailored individualised educational programs
• Proving support 1:1 or working in small groups
• Presenting feedback/student progress to class teacher and parents

To be successful:

• Fluent with British Sign Language (BSL), preferably qualified to Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with hearing impairments
• Patience and passionate about supporting students with special needs
• Ability to work within a team and contribute positively
