Team Leader – Rhondda Cynon Taff
Job Description
We are inviting applications for the post of Team Leader within Rhondda Cynon Taff. Working with and directed by the Team Manager, to assist in the management and ongoing development of service provision by providing and role modelling high quality, person centred, care and support to supported people in our care.
Duties:
Resource Management
· To assist in the recruitment, induction and training of new staff.
· To provide guidance to support workers through appropriate role-modelling and participation in supervision and appraisal processes across multi-sites.
· To monitor staff performance in relation to the administration of organisational policies and procedures, conduct practical observations and provide feedback to staff on practice development.
· To ensure that appropriate or important issues are raised with the Team Manager in a timely manner, particularly in relation to the safeguarding of vulnerable people.
· To contribute to effective resource management and the development and maintenance of all budget management processes to ensure that individual plans and routines are implemented, reviewed and updated.
· To identify staff training needs and ensure these needs are met. Maintain up to date and accurate staff training records.
· To co-ordinate keyworker responsibilities and tasks.
Service Delivery
· To contribute to the development and effective delivery of person centred, outcome-focussed support to supported people.
· To co-ordinate the necessary arrangements so that individual needs are met whilst ensuring individuals are fully involved in all aspects of their support.
· To carry out regular reviews of service delivery plans, support plans and risk assessments focusing on developing skills and reducing dependency.
· In conjunction with the Team Manager, to plan rotas that meet the needs of service users, ensuring effective deployment of staff incorporating any changes in need or staff availability across multi-sites.
· To complete service timesheets in a timely manner in line with organisational policies.
· To participate and contribute to staff meetings.
· To deputise for the Team Manager in their absence.
· To plan and organise to ensure accountability of the whereabouts of self and others at all times.
· To communicate about the service and the people who use it with dignity, respect and responsibility.
Service and Organisational Development
· To provide high quality care and support to individuals in a manner that supports person centred approaches.
· To develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and act as a good representative of Drive.
· To work with supported people, families and other professionals to ensure individual needs are met.
· To respond to individuals emotional and social needs as well as their physical and communication needs.
· To contribute to internal and external contract monitoring, legislative and compliance systems.
· To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of supported people, staff and visitors.
· To ensure confidentiality is observed and respected at all times.
· To communicate effectively to service users, staff and all stakeholders.
This Role is driver essential.
Salary will be Pro-Rata for part-time roles.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,200.00-£26,591.00 per year
Expected hours: 22 – 37.5 per week
