MIA Traffic Management Ltd are recruiting experienced Traffic Management Operatives to join our Exciting New business as we continue to expand.

We are on the lookout for hard-working, flexible, and reliable individuals who can react to various traffic and pedestrian management issues that may arise. These individuals are Operatives who take pride in the performances with attention to detail and safe working practise to the code of conduct .

We provide a professional service that ensures we deliver a cost effect, reliable but more importantly, safe systems of Traffic and Pedestrian control. We appreciate and understand the challenges and time constraints that present themselves within this ever-evolving industry and ensure we get it right, on-time, every time.

This is a permanent role with a contract of 50-hours plus per week over 7 days. Traffic Management is a challenging but rewarding career choice, it can be physically demanding and involve working outside in all weather conditions, the average working week is around 50-60 hours and will involve working frequent weekends .

Your day-to-day duties will include the below plus more:

• Installing, Maintaining or Removing various NHSS 12D / Street works Traffic Management Schemes.
• Completing MIA TM safety and evidence system protocols .
• Manually controlling Traffic Lights
• Marshalling Pedestrians
• Driving to various locations through-out the UK.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Liaising with clients and highway authorities in a professional manner.
• Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings, and near misses.
• Helping and guiding new trainees.
• Be able to use a tablet to complete site packs – training provided.
• Frequent Lifting – Frames & Multi-Mats/ barriers & batteries

Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
• Traffic Management: 2 years (Required)
• Lantra NHSS 12D M1/M2 (Required)
• Lantra NHSS 12D M5 (Preffered)

What we look for:

• Unit 2 or M1/M2 & M5 Qualifies as a minimum.
• Full UK Driving Licence. (min 12 month & no more than 6 points)
• Ability to tow single and twin axle trailers.
• Flexible Working – MUST be available to work, days, nights & weekends.
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to pass a safety critical worker medical.
