Trainee Team Leader (Care – Adults with Learning Disabilities) – (full or part time)
Job Description
Essential: must possess one year’s care experience or more, providing support for adults with learning disabilities, and have obtained or be actively working towards obtaining your Level 3 Health & Social Care.
Desirable: possess either a Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care, and be a driver.

Benefits of working at Moore Care:
- Hourly starting rate range of between £13.09 and £15.53 for new starters (approximately £30,737 to £35,812 – this example is based on a 40-hour per week contract and one sleep-in per week);
- The team leader On Call rate is £25.00 per night;
- Annual leave is made up of 21 days, 8 bank holidays, then any qualifying additional long service days;
- Team leaders are expected to work alternate weekends;

- Sleep-in rate currently £67.50 per night – approximately one sleep-in per week for full time staff. It is your choice if you want to do sleep-ins, they are not compulsory;

- You do not need your own transport as you will generally be based at one site/Care home;
- 20-40 hours per week plus overtime (when available);

Role description: Based in Buxton and its surrounding area, and New Mills, you will:
- begin with a structured six-month Trainee Team Leader Programme which will introduce you to working in all our care locations;
- lead your team by example in order to promote good communication and support for service users;
- assist with allocation and supervision of staff;
- assist our service users with a range of activities including personal care, shopping and visiting family;
- enable our service users to have independent and fulfilled lives through community-based activities such as cinema trips, bowling, gardening and farm projects;
- be prepared to take a flexible approach to shift working as there is a variety of day and evening shifts and this requires alternate weekend working.

Relevant qualifications
One year’s experience supporting adults with learning disabilities is essential.
You must either hold a Level 3 H&S Care, or already be working towards this.
Being a driver is desirable.
You must be based in the UK for a minimum of six months to apply for this role – this is to allow us to obtain a six-month DBS record. We do NOT offer VISA sponsorship or employ anyone requiring additional hours who are on a sponsorship.
