Job Description

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit 2 x Temporary Van Delivery Drivers on behalf of our client to join their team in Castleford. This position starts ASAP.

Hours of work:

  • Days
  • 13.30hr until finish
  • Minimum 8hrs pay per day
  • Minimum of 3 shifts

Pay / Job details:

  • £12.05 p/h plus £1.45 p/h for holiday pay (£13.50p/h total inclusive of holiday pay)
  • £482.00 per week based on 40 hrs / £58.00 holiday pay based on 40 hours per week. Total £540.00
  • Multi-drop deliveries to customers
  • Deliveries to customers room of choice
  • 12 – 24 deliveries per shift
  • Some deliveries will entail building furniture. On the job training will be provided.
  • All shifts will be working in a 2 person crew

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out all duties as required by our client
  • Ensure all task are completed in accordance with company procedures
  • To work with a safe and professional manner
  • To complete all work related paperwork (if required) in full as required by the client

Essential Skills:

  • Must have held Van licence for 1 year plus and had a minimum of 6 months experience.
  • Previous multi-drop experience preferred but not essential
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good customer relations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bathroom products and equipment (e.g., shower heads, trays) to businesses around the London area, including as far as Norwich.
  • Handball deliveries to customer-preferred locations. Equipment such as sack barrows will be provided for heavier items.
