Vehicle Spray Painter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join our team in Dumfries, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute repair and painting jobs on a variety of vehicles, including cars and specialist vehicles.
- Remove debris from surfaces to be painted, fill cavities and dents to create an even surface,
- Tape off details and components to avoid contamination
- Select the proper colours and substances for the project.
- Determine the necessary application of paint for a thorough coat
- Appropriately mix thinners with paints to come up with required consistency
- Knowledge of specialty painting techniques.
- Knowledge of using tools and equipment of the trade
- Set the booth to dry the paint
- Perform buffing and finishing duties at the end of each paint job
- Check finished paint jobs to ensure that it is done according to quality standards
Requirements
- Apprenticeship in Vehicle Painting or equivalent experience
- Good hand to eye coordination
- Ability to concentrate
- A good eye for detail and colour
- Ability to do precise work
- Normal colour vision
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.65 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
