Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tile to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a Tile Setter, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of residential and commercial spaces.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas accurately.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesive as required.
• Lay tiles in accordance with design specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Grout and seal tiles upon completion of installation to ensure durability and finish quality.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tiler orwithin the construction industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of different types of tiles and installation techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• A valid driver’s licence is advantageous for travelling to various job sites.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Brick Mason to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying and repairing brick and stone structures, such as walls, patios, and walkways. This position requires an individual with a strong attention to detail, an understanding of building codes and regulations, and the ability to work with a variety of materials. The Brick Mason must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction from supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Lay out patterns for bricklaying projects.
• Cut bricks and blocks to required sizes using power saws and masonry saws.
• Mix mortar, grout, and concrete according to specified recipes.
• Install anchors in walls to hold fixtures such as windows and doors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
