Warehouse Automation Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the coordination and implementation of warehouse automation systems across various departments at MH Star. This role requires a strong engineering background, particularly in warehouse automation systems, along with a solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating the execution of automation projects, ensuring smooth integration and functionality as per the established project plan from the HQ team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination of Implementation: Oversee the execution of warehouse automation systems, ensuring smooth integration with existing operations. Collaborate with the HQ team and internal teams to ensure that all automation systems are deployed as planned.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for all stakeholders, providing timely updates on the project status and addressing any concerns or challenges that arise during the implementation.
- System Integration and Testing: Coordinate the installation and testing of automation systems (e.g., robotics, conveyor systems), ensuring that systems integrate well with existing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Work with technical teams to identify and resolve any issues during the implementation phase, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse operations.
- Project Management : Overseeing all aspects of project management for the integration of Warehouse Automation with a Key Account customer
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all implemented automation systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitoring Project Progress: Track the progress of the automation system implementation, ensuring timelines are met, and resolve any roadblocks in collaboration with the HQ team and internal teams.
- Warehouse Operations Expertise: Utilize knowledge of inbound and outbound warehouse processes to ensure that the automation systems are optimized for these critical functions.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Background: Strong background in warehouse automation systems with hands-on experience in the integration of robotics, conveyor systems, and other automation technologies.
- Warehouse Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with inbound and outbound processes in a warehouse environment, understanding how automation systems impact these processes.
- Project Management Experience: Proven experience in coordinating the implementation of complex systems within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of automation systems, including integration with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify issues and work collaboratively to find effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to keep all stakeholders informed and ensure smooth coordination between teams.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
