ROLE OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and accountability of the Warehouse function of the Company with scope for growth within the company for the right person. This is definitely a hands on role but with scope to build a team around you in time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Leadership, Management and Accountability (LMA) of the Warehouse and the execution of agreed department strategy.

Ø Ownership of, and responsibility for, all Health & Safety requirements of the Warehouse.

Ø Represent the above departments/functions as part of our Weekly Meetings and proactively participate in the ongoing development of the Company.

Ø Ensuring all incoming goods are received correctly and in a timely manner

Ø Ensuring that all dispatches are performed correctly and systems updated

Ø Maintenance of and adherence to all systems and processes associated with the role.

Ø Develop the Warehouse layout and progress improvements such as barcode scanning

Ø Maintain accurate stock levels through controlling movements and carrying out periodical PI checks.

Ø Work with other departments to keep on track with materials supply

Ø Any other ad Hoc responsibilities that arise that are directly associated with the management of the above departments/functions.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Warehouse management: 2 years (required)
  • ERP systems: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Warehouse Manager will ensure operational effectiveness within Warehousing function to ensure all customer requirements are consistently met. This includes overseeing all day-to-day activities, meeting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets, managing the team and communicating progress with all key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

•Leading and engaging with the Warehouse Team, ensuring that individually and collectively team members are committed, motivated to undertake their roles effectively and meeting all KPI’s that have been set.

Ensuring shift patterns are the most appropriate for the operation.

•To utilise all Warehouse resources to achieve maximum benefit. All resources should be maintained to the required standard or replaced accordingly.

•To be responsible for providing a safe environment, ensuring all H&S Procedures and Directives are adhered to at all times.

•To be responsible for providing a Hygienic and compliant environment, ensuring all BRCGS and HACCP Procedures are adhered to at all times.

•Consistent and continual delivery of Employee Performance Reviews within the required timescales. This will include effective follow-up and organisation of any learning and development requirements.

•Ensuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). This includes their updating and amendment as required (in a timely manner).

•To be responsible for effective and accurate stock takes, maintaining adherence to the pre-prepared schedule. This includes the efficient utilisation of staff resources to undertake stock-takes.

•To manage compliance to the BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution, ensuring that Internal Audits are carried out and any non-conformances or areas for improvement are addressed swiftly and satisfactorily.

•Investigate and report on stock discrepancies

•To report on all KPI’s where requested. This may be with the Managing Director, at Management Meetings or with team members at the Warehouse.

•To plan Holiday Cover, ensuring that any interruption to Warehouse operations is minimised and staffing levels are sufficient to maintain all key activities.

•To work with the team to explore, recommend and implement continuous improvements. This should include evaluation of improvements where appropriate.

•To participate in personal and appropriate training and development activities to enhance the Warehouse Manager position.

•Responsible for the team’s commitment to Warehouse on-site security procedures, ensuring effective practice at all times.

Training & Development:

Specific training and development activities will be discussed and agreed with the Managing Director, as required.
