PURPOSE OF ROLE:

  • To ensure a steady flow of materials to all production departments and locate and load finished goods in the Warehouse ready for dispatch.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure the supply of all materials from the warehouse to the manufacturing areas to achieve the daily production plan.
  • Load and record finished goods from the bay to trailers, ensuring the conveyer is kept clear and operational.
  • Unload, where required, incoming vehicles and rack away the materials following GRN procedures
  • Load, where required, outgoing vehicles with finished goods ready for dispatch
  • Generate dispatch paperwork and pre advices
  • Maintain and replace wrap on the auto pallet wrap machine and report any faults to engineering.
  • To ensure adequate checks are carried out before and after using equipment
  • Ensure safe working methods are adhered to
  • Complete daily Health &Safety and GMP checks within the warehouse
  • Relocation of Materials
  • The job holder is required to do all tasks considered as relevant by their Line Manager
  • Responsible for Food Safety, Quality and Legality

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Good level of general education is required.
  • Some knowledge of warehousing operating procedure would be an advantage
  • Counterbalance, Reach and Electric Handtruck (FLT) Licenses are essential
  • Ability to be able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good team player
  • Decisions put forward to line manager
  • Effective decision making to be able to operate independently
  • Management and use and basic management of equipment

  • Part of a shift team of up to 15 associates contribute to achievement of targets.
  • Accountable for delivery of ingredients/materials to the production areas
  • Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover
  • Be able to work with SAP/PDLS computer systems

  • Participate in cycle-counting and stock audits as needed.

About You:

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Manual Handling Regulations.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven experience in a similar warehouse/stores role.
  • Forklift certification (Counterbalance) is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of working to tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
