Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to load and unload goods.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
  • Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock efficiently.
  • Execute picking and packing duties accurately to prepare orders for dispatch.
  • Maintain an organised warehouse environment by ensuring all materials are stored correctly.
  • Handle materials with care, following all safety protocols to minimise risks.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management tasks.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance on equipment when necessary.

Skills

  • Experience with heavy lifting and physical endurance for demanding tasks.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures within a warehouse setting.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for efficient inventory control.
  • Strong skills in picking and packing processes to ensure order accuracy.
  • Ability to load and unload goods effectively while adhering to safety standards.
  • Experience in stock management and materials handling practices.
  • Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts is advantageous.

Hours
: Monday to Friday – 5 Days. 8am – 4.30pm Saturday OT is available at enhanced x 1.5 rate

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse Worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing, and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ship) to deadlines
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
  • Complete diary logs into inventory
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulation Build, Pack, and ship outbound customer orders


Experience

  • Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems; preferably SAP
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to understand safe liftin practices
  • Current forklift license (Preferable, not essential)


MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e., UK DBS and Drugs Screening.
