What do we want?

Due to growth within the business, we are searching for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder with a fabrication background.

Duties will include:

  • Fabricate bespoke products
  • Weld parts to specification, ensuring high quality weld and finish
  • Accurately weld steel following specifications
  • Work on thin gauge stainless steel between 1mm and 3mm thickness
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal products

Who do we need?

As an Aerospace Welder/Brazer, you will play a key role in fabricating high-quality components to aerospace standards using TIG welding techniques.


What will I be doing?


  • Manually TIG welding various metallic components, including light-gauge aluminium alloys, to aerospace standards.

What do I need to succeed?

You’re an Aerospace-approved Welder with an NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent. You’ll also have:

  • Expertise in TIG welding, particularly with aluminium alloys.
  • Certification equivalent to BCAR A8-10 or relevant aerospace standards.
  • Proven ability to interpret engineering documents and evaluate components.
  • BPSS clearance required and must be maintained.

What will you be doing as a Welder?

ABOUT THE ROLE:

· Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium

· Weld various joint configurations in all positions

· Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity,

· and WPS requirements

· Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded

· Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale

· Carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks and record the necessary safety checks

What your average day will look like:

07:15 – Arrive at work.

07:20 – Clock in & prep for the day ahead.

07:45 – 3S, Clean, Chores & Improvement time.
